AeroModelling

Aeromodelling has been a popular hobby around the world for over a century. It refers to the skill of designing and building flying model gliders, aircrafts, helicopters, and various other air vehicles. In earlier days large aircraft designs were first tested by building smaller prototypes. That became what we call the hobby of aeromodelling. Aeromodellers more than a century ago built what is known as free flight models which could not be controlled and was often left to the mercy of the winds. Over the years as miniature engines were developed, powered model aircrafts were constructed and later with the advent of electronics, radio controlled, and electric models were available for use.

In India, Aeromodelling kits were always difficult to obtain. In the past 2 decades after the internet came things have improved.

Glorod's advantage is its manufacturing unit dedicated to produce aeromodelling kits at an affordable price, whether they are basic models like chuck or rubber-powered gliders or high-end battery or engine powered giant scalemodels and drones.

AEROMODELLING WORKSHOPS – BENEFITS

We teach the fundamentals of aeromodelling in our aeromodelling workshop, including flight theory, how an aeroplane flies, and the design concepts that work in favour of and against an aeroplane while it is flying. We also provide students with hands-on experience building gliders and aircraft. Each airplane would require a different skill level. They are also given an overview of professional drones and their flight dynamics.

Modern day drones were developed as a result of innovations in aeromodelling. It is difficult to learn about civilian drones separately by skipping the fundamental Aeromodelling lectures.

GLOROD AVIONICS – ADVANTAGES

Our classes are handled by professionals with years of experience and in-depth expertise in this field. They can provide you with advice on how to resolve issues as well as show you the finest techniques for making and flying model aeroplanes.
Participants in workshops frequently have the option to create and fly model airplanes by themselves. This is a great approach to pick up knowledge and abilities that you might not be able to gain from books or movies.
Aeromodelling is a fantastic approach for enhancing your imagination and analytical abilities. Model aircraft construction and flight involve creativity, accuracy, and close attention to detail. They can also improve your mechanical aptitude and spatial understanding.
Aeromodelling is a wonderful stress-relieving activity. Model aeroplane construction and flight can be therapeutic and peaceful.
Aeromodelling can be a steppingstone to a career in engineering or aviation. The abilities and information developed via this activity can be used in the real world and may open up job prospects in related fields.
If you're passionate about aviation and modelling, aeromodelling workshops are a terrific location to meet like-minded individuals. You can share ideas, suggestions, and methods while also learning from one another's experiences.

UAV/Drone

A drone is a flying robot that can be remotely controlled or fly autonomously using software-controlled flight plans in its embedded systems, that work in conjunction with onboard sensors and a global positioning system (GPS). UAVs were most often associated with the military.

We custom build fixed wing UAVs/drones as per requirement. CADModelling, Rapid prototyping and extensive inhouse wind tunnel tests coupled with our state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities ensure our UAVs/Drones meet optimum flight conditions.

RC Model Aircraft

Radio-Controlled Aircraft, also known as RC Aircraft, are aircraft that are remotely controlled using a handheld transmitter and a receiver on the model itself. In the early 1900s, inventors like the late Nikola Tesla and Guglielmo Marconi started working on wireless communications, thereby laying the framework for what later developed intowireless telecommunications and RC technology. RC technology served military needs throughout World War II, including piloting target drones for anti-aircraft training. Companies like American Junior Aircraft and Model Aeroplane News started making RC planes and helicopters for hobbyists in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The development of electronics and battery technologies during the 1950s and 1960s improved the dependability and controllability of RC models.

Types of RC models: Different RC models are available, including airplanes, cars, boats, and helicopters. Each model has a unique collection of features that require a specific set of skills and knowledge to operate.

RC Model Aircraft

An RC system consists of a transmitter, a receiver, and servos and speed controllers that regulate the model's numerous operations. The receiver receives signals from the transmitter, decodes them, and then sends commands to the servos and speed controllers.
Batteries—either rechargeable or disposable—power the majority of RC models. Other fuels like methanol (with or without Nitromethane for additional power and Castor oil as lubricant) or petrol are used by 2 and 4 stroke engine powered models. Jet engine powered aircraft models use Kerosene.
The Throttle for controlling the fuel intake, rudder and landing gear steering, elevator and aileron control are the basic requirements for a RC model aircraft. The model's receiver receives signals from the transmitter, which is used to operate the controls.
Understanding aerodynamics, the speed of the wind, and weather patterns are just a few of the additional abilities and information required for operating RC models. For steady flight, it's also crucial to make sure the model is properly balanced and trimmed.
Radio control devices require maintenance and occasional repairs just like any other mechanical device. Cleaning and lubricating moving parts, replacing old or broken parts, and stowing the model away safely is all part of routine maintenance. Additionally pre-flight and post-flight all engines and fuel systems in the aircraft need to be cleaned and tested for any changes due to use.
