The ever-challenging aerospace industry had always been enticing to innovators and the technology-driven minds of the 21st century. In an effort to bridge the gap between the young hobbyists/aeromodellers and the aerospace industry, Glorod Avionics Pvt. Ltd. (GAPL) was established in 2010, to design, develop and manufacture R/C Scale Model Aircrafts, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and other Unmanned Vehicles (UVs).
GAPL’s remotely operated aircraft are meant for hobbyists, educational institutions, and organizations involved with research and development. Some of our major clients are NIAT (Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology) Southern Naval Command Kochi, NCC(National Cadet Corps) Air Units, CSIR(Council for Scientific & Industrial Research) for their research and development work & Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST, Thiruvananthapuram) for their supply for drone-related research/experiments.
At Glorod Avionics, we foresee the need for all-round development in the society, for which we utilize the best in aerospace engineering to develop products, that inspire aspirants in the field of aerospace technology to help further their social and human commitments.
With India’s growth as a manufacturing hub, we at Glorod believe that design, development, and manufacture of equipment and accessories for unmanned aircraftare unquestionably vital to the growth of Indian engineering, industrial and scientific community. GAPL intends to introduce indigenous solutions for the local Indian market. We source materials locally, including Balsa Wood (planted, harvested, and scientifically treated at GAPL facility), all grades of metals, composites & resins. We believe in taking time in bringing our products to perfection, upholding the accepted standards of the industry.
Working on UAS technology does not take our attention away from laying a sturdy foundation for the young minds in schools and colleges whoaspire to be innovators in a booming drone industry. We bring to you a wide range of DIY products offered by the RC companies worldwide. Ourcollaboration with some of the world’s leading brands in Aeromodelling, boat & shipbuilding, robotics, and unmanned systems technology to offer state-of-the-art products help Indian RC modellers raise the bar as never before.
Glorod Avionics coined the brand name GloFloRC for RC clubs initiated, sponsored, or supported by GAPL. All members of these clubs can avail of discounts on purchases of all international brands associated with Glorod, as well as receive training and workshops that enhance their skills.

OUR PRODUCTS
Our Products
Aeromodelling
Glorod has been conducting workshops in Aeromodelling for the past several years. Our workshops are systematic and hands on where the students get a taste of building a flying model airplane from scratch. Since 2017 more than 500 students have benefited from these workshops.
RC Model Aircraft
At Glorod we manufacture radio-controlled aircraft. Scaled down versions of vintage aircrafts designed specifically for aeromodellers are manufactured using balsa wood and composites. Our collaborations with international brands like Dubro, USA give our model aircrafts an edge over our competitors.
UAV/Drone
We custom build fixed wing UAVs/drones as per requirement. CADModelling, Rapid prototyping and extensive inhouse wind tunnel tests coupled with our state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities ensure our UAVs/Drones meet optimum flight conditions.
